ZOS Help Needed!: A Cold Wind From the Mountain

Hi guys at ZOS, I'm currently on the final phase of the Hero of Wrothgar achievement; unfortunately the last quest "A Cold Wind From the Mountain" in which we have to collect items around the room to "recollect the past" is bugged. Could someone please patch a fix for this? I've been working on this achievement for the past two days, it is pretty disappointing for the final portion to be bugged.

cunniferb14_ESOSoul ShrivenSadly, It will only let you collect one of the items. So it is stuck in a loop where you can't place the other items. The Npc then proceeds to admonish you because you aren't placing the items in the correct position (you are only able to pick up one though).0

Stop the grind! Get rid of stupid events and daily-quest gallore. Get rid of "have a chance of 1 in a million to get a piece of 1 in 30 to get a stupid motif or pet... wtf..."
And at this point just remove all classes and have everyone choose their set of skills. then balance accordingly to skills always used vs. skills never used.0 -
SheenaTL✭✭Bump. This is linked to a major achievement at the end of a long series of quest item collection. It's definitively bugged in the same way for me too. Very disappointing to not be able to finish the quest because of game stopper bug.0

cunniferb14_ESOSoul ShrivenI spent the past 2 days working on completing all the steps for the achievement. I admit I was very interested in getting the costume for my Warden. I seriously hope this is not a ploy to remove the costumes as a reward and put it in the Crown Store. That would be a despicable move on ZoS part.0

cunniferb14_ESOSoul ShrivenGuys to get around this bug, you need to join a party with 3 other players on the same quest. Each player needs to pick up a different item upon reaching the room. The items will update in the party members quest bag and then you will be able to progress the quest.0

Sadly I don't have two or more players to group with and no one in the area will say they are working on this quest even though I know that I have seen players grabbing the same quest items.
This is bugged in the exact same way for me too.
In another thread a ZOS agent said that it is a known issue and it is being looked into but that was before the last patch, which did not fix this issue.
Would someone in ZOS please give us an update.
Should I just give up on this quest for the next several months or will it be fixed soon? Basically, I am in the right place and I would rather log out and use another character for a while, if it will be fixed this next patch day. It was fixed last week.. Then, the fix broke numerous quests, so they had to hotfix undo the fix and go back to the drawing board.Power level to CP160 in a week:

I see this was originally reported over 2 months ago. Pretty *** that this hasn't been fixed yet considering the rewards from this quest is half the reason I even purchased the DLC. Any update on when we can expect a fix? Sometime soon? Fall? Next year? With the release of PS5? Please fix this.0 -
Skullstachio✭✭✭✭✭Try this temporary work around: Try abandoning the quest, then recollect the quest, get to the room with the items & such, "Instead of collecting all the items to place at once, pick one thing up, then place it in its respective bowl", wait for the dialogue to finish, then repeat it again with all other items in the room until there are none left, then collect the skull, return it to the curator, end of the quest & get three cool bear costumes.If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...
If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.0 -
ZioGio✭✭✭Solution for solo:
Exit the room, which resets the items, then place the items in this order: North, South, East, and West.
This solution worked for me and confirmed by others for PC. I did not test on Xbox or PS4.
In my case, it took a couple of tries to pick up the meat (West), but it did pick up.PC NA0
