Day 2 and still 90% of download left to go.

Off to play Witcher, seriously thinking that this game has run its course for me

With that sort of ISP/infrastructure, i would advise you to purchase a physical copy in future

    I get this:

    Error 206 PatchManifestError_UnzipFailed

but i don't have any folders called 'patchdata' so cannot follow the canned response about deleting these folders.

Once in the past I already deleted those, but it is happening again and I have no clue how to fix this

    any ideas?

Well then that's great news. If you don't have no clue it means you must have some clue.

My download finished within the hour. Could just be your download speed...

As for the OP. Of course there will be maintenance. Would you want the game to remain broken and BGs unable to join?

Maybe they can remember this for us console players, and let us pre-load the game somehow? lol

Any chance you're running out of disk space while the game tries to patch? Or some router or "ad blocker" that modifies packets in HTTP traffic?

Try running the launcher as admin and then pick the repair option. There might be something wrong with file permissions.

The download finally completed about 4 hours later. Then the unzip failed, again. ran a repair, and the same download had to redownload, and again unzipping failed

    yes i know that fix.

but there is no file or folder called 'patchdata' in my computer. That is why I am asking for help on this matter.

The solution for 206 is to delete that folder/file called patchdata, but since i do not have such and am still getting the same error, does any one know how to fix it?

I wonder if OP has filled out a ticket with Support. Had a friend return to the game recently and his new dl of the game was not working.

idk, if I really wanted to play the game I would give that a try.

Also, due to the time it takes for your dl it seems you have either a slow internet of something else is wrong with your connection. Last 2 dls from maintenance (one was a hotfix) went pretty fast.
