Poison Injection Unmorphed on Skill Reset!

I reset my skills today, and when I put a skill point in Poison Arrow, it reset to level 1 even though I had it morphed and up to level IV before the update. What's going on? Help, please, I don't want to have to grind out my skill level again.

I responded to a similar post earlier. Hope it's applicable to your situation. Whenever ZoS shuffles skill order they always seem to forget about the progress that applies to the base form of the skill.0 -

With Update 13, bow abilities were changed. This update adjusted the order of the Active Abilities in this skill line. They now unlock in the following order:
•Snipe
•Volley
•Magnum Shot
•Arrow Spray
•Poison Arrow
This means you will need to earn some further experience in the skill lines that changed position."
This is an oversight on ZOS's part and must be rectified in some way. I should not have to relevel a skill I have earned the experience to a hundred times over.1 -

I agree with you there, but for the time it takes to relevel the skill to morph it, compared to the time it takes for ZoS to fix their mistakes, I'll take the grind. ZoS customer service is not helpful when their devs mess up. We pay the price. It sucks.1 -

✭✭✭✭If you leveled the base skill before Homestead it will happen. It will probably be halfway between 2 and 3 because they moved it down the skill tree and thus requires more experience to level. The game remembers the experience gained not the skill rank. Once you get it at 4+ you will be able to morph again and have the morph at rank 4 once you tick it.Beta tester since February 2014, played ESO-TU October 2015 - August 2022, currently on an extended break

Exactly.
It was entirely caused by moving the skill in bow tree and making it cost more experience to have leveled the base skill. To simplify, when you leveled the base skill you got X experience that it took to level it... with the move to a higher position in the tree X was not enough xp to level the base skill to morphing level.
Fortunately it doesn't take much xp to level base skills, do a little grinding and you will be able to get it back to morphing level and when you morph it you will have the morph back at the level it was at.0 -

Stop the grind! Get rid of stupid events and daily-quest gallore. Get rid of "have a chance of 1 in a million to get a piece of 1 in 30 to get a stupid motif or pet... wtf..."
And at this point just remove all classes and have everyone choose their set of skills. then balance accordingly to skills always used vs. skills never used.0 -

I've had the following two skills lose progression due to Morrowind.
ZOS please assist.
My Poison Injection IV was reset to Poison Arrow I after Morrowind update.
My Bound Armaments IV was reset to Bound Armor III after Morrowind update.0
