Cultural insensitivity

Was just reading the patch notes and saw this and lol-ed.

"Adjusted the names and descriptions of the Altmer, Bosmer, and Dunmer motifs and style items to High Elf, Wood Elf, and Dark Elf, to improve consistency with other motifs."

This seems to be rather culturally insensitive and I'm not so sure they would appreciate it. Except maybe those uppity High Elves. No doubt they want the others to know they're above them. Clearly there are some High Elf developers at work here.

Just kind of trolling here. Mostly it seems like a silly thing to change after all this time. Just because it's more work to fix all the furniture labels? How many other items can we find for Zos to "fix" the labels on?

I just wish they'd consistently use terms "Altmer", "Dunmer" etc. instead - new players will quickly get used to the fact that this is a different setting to other games they might have played previously.

Epona was a Romano-Celtic goddess dating back to around 1800 to 2000 years before computer games were invented.

lol, they changed the names from trademark-able names to non-trademark-able names.
