game needs purchasable bards for housing

Your idea is great I have something to add even though mine is more unlikely to ever get implemented. It would be cool to be able to upload .mp3s or .wavs to have them play in your house. For like parties or anything! For PC this would be so fun. Since PS4 and XBox already get voicechat built into the client.

The bard's instrument too then could be a drum a lute or flute. They could even add a singer, to collect the whole band!

What about questing to invite one and some other quest that acts as funding a bard, merchant, etc

More NPCs of any kind would be nice.... it was definitely fun being able to "decorate" with characters in SWTOR's housing.

(of course, with the way they have mounts/assistants/pets limited, it seems like they don't want that many animated figures in housing.)

We need lots of NPCs: bards, chefs, servants, guards, military commanders, prisoners (two weeks of torture furniture for empty dungeons?), priests, cutthroats, bandit henchmen, stablemasters, animal trainers, scholars, bound daedra servants...

Nah he'd just sit in my Bag of Holding, right next to my smuggler, banker, and merchant. Unless you'd like to come up with a lore explanation for other 3 as well?

Well, like the banker is always spouting off Dark Elf lines that have nothing to do with anything (you're still going off on her stealing that weapon in Deshaan? It was three years ago, let it go man!). I think it would be funny if the bard would instead just complain about being put into the path of danger instead of spouting random Breton/Bosmer/whatever lines.

I keep reading this as beards.

What they need is some sort of item that you can target an npc with and the item steals that npcs identity, and you can decorate your house with them.

Purchasing? Ehh i suppose so. It would be better to have a Bard College/Guild.
You level up and get new bard companion that you can hire to come to your house and play different tunes.
You could get new tunes depending on the level of your bard level.
