I want to say people and the freedom of play as you want. We will disagree, duel and fight for Ruby throne but in the end of day we are all just amazing. Especially those guys behind the scenes.

So why do you keep playing the game?

Because at its core it's an awesome game. PvP in theory is really fun. When it's on it's on and it's enough to keep me coming back. The community in the right guild is really good too. But dammit if there isn't a whole lot of junk that goes with the good parts.

The Elder Scrolls universe paired with the gameplay of an all around good MMO.

The Elder Scrolls 'universe' being one of the best in gaming, IMO.

Do not see how you can 'play as you want' in a game where classes exist. Play as you want would require the immediate removal of classes.

Why do I keep playing the game?

Well, I especially enjoy games where I can make my own characters, get immersed in stories and quests and even come up with backstories for my characters. I love the combat and the freedom this game offers. Being an MMO is a huge plus too, as I have always wanted a game I could really invest in and I love online play. It makes the world feel alive. I have tried returning to single player, offline games but I just can't get into them anymore. For some reason, the sense of progression and achievement isn't there for me.

In ESO, I have goals I'm constantly working towards (vetMaw) and honestly, I've grown rather attached to my characters and their "stories".

    I love this game.

In terms of TES, Morrowind did a whole new thing that I hadn't seen before, in fact several things that I hadn't seen before - pretty good 1st person action in an open world where I really could do whatever I liked and I didn't feel pressured to get on with the story - I lived for a while in a hut in Seyda Neen and it took me 7 years in real time before I finally got around to completing the main quest, it's no wonder every game since has made me feel as though I am being rushed! I actually long to feel that again at the start of a game - just being dropped off somewhere without being led by the nose from quest A to quest B. It was really really refreshing.

In terms of ESO, a lot of it that keeps me coming back is the community - anyone who just goes solo without finding a guild is missing out on probably two thirds of the experience of the game - I do worry that people who come from single player TES do just that and get bored. But in a good community, there are whole other dimensions to the game.
