Scrap the skill and create something new

I've always felt this skill was never well thought out. It's rotation is clunky, it's easily avoidable in pvp, and forces light attacking when you could be hard casting another skill. I'm in favor of just scraping it for another dot, spammable, or utility skill like the old haste.

5 basic attacks to proc it
5 secs CD after firing the proc
no change to the buff

increase the attack window so your natural LA weaves will eventually proc it.

OR

Keep the same except firing off the secondary skill and hitting the target refreshes the buff and the proc window.

I love the skill. I have no idea why people say it's clunky. Every time I fire it off it checks the Wrobelrific "should feel awesome" box for me. Being forced to time your burst around this skill is what makes magblade play feel so rhythmic and strategic, and it adds an excellent source of pressure for stamblades.

But the increase to 5 light attacks is unquestionably a PVP nerf, because it makes it that much more complicated to time our burst. I would be fine with that nerf if ZOS gave nightblades something else to compensate in PVP (like a meaningful Concealed Weapon or Lotus Fan, a way to deal with snares, or a way to trade one resource for another). But they didn't. Instead, they wrecked magblades' superior secondary-resource management, which was the only meaningful class distinctive we had left, by giving us literally zero secondary-resource management. The Grim Focus nerf would make sense if magicka nightblades weren't already struggling in PVP and weren't already receiving a crippling blow to their main class distinctive (secondary resource sustain).

I'm fine with the change on my stamina nightbalde, since Relentless Focus is more of a way for me to keep up pressure than part of a main burst-execute combo.
