Steam forces reinstall
Twice now I've had Steam suddenly stop recognizing that the game is installed, forcing me to re-download and reinstall. Reinstalling fixes the problem, but apparently it can recur at random. Any help or advice on how to avoid this problem would be appreciated, since this is a big game that takes quite a few hours to download. I am not using an external hard drive.

It looks to me either a corrupted steam installation or a hardware issue. To be safe do the following:
-Check HDD for errors
- Defragment HDD if needed
- Re-install steam and ESO for the last time.0
