One Tamriel -- Whole and Complete

I'm guessing that it is the long-term plan of the developers to eventually fill in all the holes in the Tamriel map through DLC and Morrowind-style chapter expansions... yes?

Do you think we'll ever see a completed map of Tamriel? -- And if so, how long d'you think that will take? Will we still be playing on a map that has holes in it ten years from now? For my part, even if they worked really aggressively, I can't see it happening in less than five years.

How far ahead d'you think the developers are planning?

Anyway, I plan on sticking around...

Well think about their current progress. It's been 3 years, and we will have gained craglorn, orsinium, hew's bane, the gold coast, and vvardenfell. At the current rate it appears to be a 20 year project.

From my experience most developers are at least midway through one major content expansion, while following a longer term road map.

I figure ZoS is early in the development of the next DLC and is fleshing out the next expansion while doing the final polish on Morrowind.

While I'm relatively new here, I'd agree with your statement. However, I do think that they will avoid TES6's location and mainly add areas that were featured in previous Elder Scrolls games until TES6 has been released and is well into it's life-cycle.

My opinion is that TESO is a compliment to the TES game library rather than a new addition. ZOS is a separate studio from the single-player studio at Bethesda that develops the SP games so I would think TESO will be developed alongside the SP games.

It would make sense, from a business perspective, to have TESO be a constant, stable fixture in Bethesda's game library with offshoots of new TES SP games.

I'm sure we will see more than just what's on the map. Let's not forget about different realms of Oblivion!

Im actually ok with this. It makes me feel like i can invest a large chunk of time/life into this game and they will be constantly adding to it in a manner that will flow and interact with the older content. Not one of the oh by the way here is a new island that has stronger monsters but no real movement to the story, or adds another side story to the 50 we already have that never really concludes...

Perhaps, but if the next DLC isn't Elsweyr, there's probably going to be a riot.
And if so, how long d'you think that will take?

Hope so. How else will I get to the refuges?

My guess is the base DLCs have already been created, but are being modified for current/future game changes.
How far ahead d'you think the developers are planning?
    3 years, minimum.
Anyway, I plan on sticking around...
Me too. Damn Lich just rooted me again.
