So, I guess like everyone else I'm worried about the Morrowind release. Unlike a lot of people I can't afford to buy the expansion at or before release; and, while I was invited to the closed beta, I couldn't and still can't access it. So, will we still be able to play without the update, like with the dlcs, and does anyone know if the items offered in the pre-order collector's edition will be available post-release, either in another collector's edition or via the crown store?

✭✭✭✭✭As Tryxus said you'll get the base patch the day everyone on your format does (22nd may for PC, 6th June Console).
You can play and enjoy the game as you are right now and will start to see Warden character around and items from Morrowind which are not bound for sale (which you can purchase and use).
You won't have access to the new zone (Vvardenfel), Warden class, Battlegrounds or the new Trial (Halls of Fabrication) until you purchase the expansion though.@Turelus - EU PC Megaserver

Dracindo✭✭✭✭✭Would be a real d***move if they'd advertise the game by making it F2P for a week and putting the original game and gold edition on sale, only to then force everyone to buy Morrowind anyway if they want to play the game and all their unlocked content.
Even with the morrowind rip-off, I'm glad that Zo$ hasn't sank this low yet.0
