Makeup wont stay on

I realize half the fun of makeup for women is messing with it all the time but this is annoying. My wife just spent a bunch of crowns on makeup for her characters and it wont stay on. She applies it and it's there but she zones and it's gone. She applies it and logs out it displays on the login screen but when she loads it's not there. Surely ZOS_GinaBruno will understand the importance of this.

Livvy✭✭✭✭✭Same with tattoos. It has something to do with going over a certain number of equipped appearances. If you remove another costume part, the makeup will probably start staying.
It really is so frustrating. And so disappointing it has been going on for so long without a fix.

I don't know that it's just female toons. This happens exactly way the OP describes but with my male tattoos. Pretty bad that I bought tattoos, accessories and hair packs with crowns, yet can't even have them on always without reequipping....
They don't care though, I already paid for them, they won.... ZOS just cares about money.0 -

The magic number is six. Having a personality equipped seems to trigger this, at least for me.
If you've got a total of six cosmetic items equipped, they'll stay active. If you exceed that number, some will be culled until the total gets down to six. This seems to start with ones that are more difficult to see than others. For instance, I've never seen skins get suppressed, but I have seen body markings getting suppressed when they have an equipped skin.
That said, I think I saw something about this getting fixed with the next patch. So, next week this issue should be over.1 -

And its actually only visual bug for the player, other people see your character as it is but you see your character with your default (how it was created) accessories, makeup, tattoos etc.Magicka sorcerer from start until the end. Always. Through the good times and the bad, even now when its probably saddest PvE dps it has ever been.
Even as an owner of one radiant apex mounts I am against radiant apex mounts and anything thats not obtainable by direct purchase.0 -
