Champion Points shared among all characters?

Hello and Good Morning (USA) now....

Two of us are about 6-7 weeks and she has been running just one character almost at 45 and I've started three with all in the 20's. She asked about how does the Champion Points works and are they shared.....

We played Diablo quite a bit and it has somewhat a level system where when you reach max level (70) you start to acquire "paragon Points" which covers the normal...health, armor, types of damage, regen abilities, etc....but the way it works is not all characters have to be Level 70 to gain the point but only ones that are 70 can get them.

So how are the Champion Points shared among your characters? Do all have to be Level 50 before getting any or can they be any level with one character gaining them? Thanks

Champion points are account wide once unlocked, all character have access to them.

They're spent separately by each character, so if you place all your points on one then another will have the same pool of points to spend for themselves.

Any character over level 50 will unlock new points that all characters will then have to spend.

Once you hit level 50 on your first char you'll switch to a champion level beginning at 1, and then all those champion points will be accessible from your other characters even before reaching level 50.

Once you get the second account to level 50 they'll automatically be increased to your total champion level since champion points are PSN account based!

Might add, your partner is going to have champion points to use across all her characters. You, on the other hand will not, as only the level 50 character earns CP. Your three level 20 arent going to earn squat til one of them hits 50.
Power level to CP160 in a week:
Where is the end game? You just played it.
Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
    Where is new content? Sigh.

So basically I followed the wrong path of playing 2-3 characters trying to stagger them level wise when I should've concentrated on one?...sounds about right for me...

    So as I understand it.....

When one character does hit Level 50 and starts accumulating Champion Points, my other characters no matter if they're Level 1 to 49...gets any points my main gets?

Say my main gets 10-12 points in a day or so....does that mean my Level 22 and 24 gets those 10-12 also?

...and I would guess it would be advisable to start any character you might want to play later on "before" your main hits Level 50?

    Thanks again for the help.

That's it, pretty much, yes. Every CP your lvl 50+ earns is also available to the others. Any new character made will have instant access to those CP's as your oldest earns them.

I'd just add the point of "Enlightenment" - aka "rest bonus xp". Depending on how often and long you play it might be beneficial to maximize your xp earnings so to speak by having one character at lvl 50 first and get the rest bonus continually (up to 12 days) while you may play your other characters.

Yes once you get past 50 you get an one time huge Enlightenment bonus so you want to drain it and not let it overfill playing low level alts. 2-3 quests will give 400K xp if enlighten
