Of course there is customer service people. If you are rude to them when sending in a ticket like a lot of people are. They don't have to take that abuse and will ignore your ticket.
Oh yes. they are very much real. I've been giving the game a LOT of grief (because of the upcoming changes), but credit where it is due - the 4 CS team members above, went above and beyond. I don't want to say what it was about but they really did excel and it has made a very positive impression on me.

I simply described a bug that caused me to lose an item last time I tried it and so far I haven't even seen a response other than "contact us again if your issue hasn't resolved itself". Also the in-game interface for "I lost an item" rather than letting you actually describe the problem suggests you find the item you lost in your inventory and use "help" from its menu
Glad op had more luck than me though. On the whole my impression has been they're extremely understaffed and don't all have the same idea of what they even can and cannot do, I know people who have had their issues resolved whereas other people have been told cs is unable to help them with the very same issue. Sounds like a mess tbh, but then a lot of the game is.
Once you get past the first three or so canned spam comments, and get to the real people, they are very helpful. Some of them are REALLY good roleplayers with their emails too.

Why don't I have 300+ skill points? Because you skipped content along the way.
Where is new content? Sigh.
I've had really good experiences with them myself, very pleased so far with the resolutions to issues and their speed of response. I was worried at first but I don't worry anymore.
I've been saying this for years! The CS is absolute best. I've always had positive quick and resourceful replies and help. I don't understand All these people complaining.
