How to power level Alchemy?

Any suggestions for this? Places to farm ingredients? Guides anyone knows of. I should of done this while leveling. Water is very expensive on the stores too, which is weird.

Any tips or suggestions on how to get that going quickly? I virtually know nothing about it.

Grease and fleshfly lavae and spider eggs I think are the cheapest.

People pick up and sell tons of fleshfly lavae from zombie farming skyreach catacombs in craglorn or outside the Vile laboratory in coldharbor. Always the lowest cost mat.

Spider eggs and Squib jelly come from common dungeons and they are really cheap whenever those dungeons are the pleadges DC, Spindle, selenes etc.

A lot of the mushrooms (other than Nirmina's rot) are also very cheap, but don't consistantly drop as much as the stuff from enemies.

If you can spare a couple of skill points before your next respec, then leveling up the craft as you go means you need fewer ingredients.

I usually just buy the 2 cheapest raegants i can find that share the same effect. Then get the poison oils for every 10 levels as they tend to be cheaper than water. Make poisons and then every 10 levels use a skill point to use the next level poison till your 50. With exp pots you can do it in 20 minutes. You can also find charts online which shows all the effects so you can mix them to get them learned as well. No use getting to 50 unless you know what they all do.

Check out the alchemy guide at http://tamrielfoundry.com/crafting/alchemy/

If your gonna farm mats instead of buying them then hollow city in cold harbor is a great spot.

On most of my characters I power leveled, but last month I leveled a mule toon just because he's doing lower level provision writs to find purple recipes...long story...anyway, I leveled him via alchemy writs. It was actually pretty fast, and they returned a net gain of water.

Just make as many trash poisons as possible at your highest level possible. Then you save your water. You aren't going to want the lower level poison oils anyway, and as someone above said - scrib jelly and fleshy larvae are easy to get while grinding mobs.
SJ + FL = Vulnerability Poison.
Beetle poop and Mudcrab chitlins = Resolve draining

Those are the only two that I know that don't use hard to find reagents.

If you don't want the poisons then you can sell them to an NPC for maybe about 5k altogether plus or minus when you are done levelling.

    A couple of nuances:
    • Make sure you have the champion point buff to inspiration active, even if this is on a mule character. :)
    • Depending on what you're going to use the character for, you might care about having all, some or none of the reagent knowledge unlocked. The unlocking costs expensive mats, but it also gives crafting experience.

Just make poisons, your after mushrooms and anything that drop oils, trust me when I say that most pve zones will drop so much of this stuff you'll be hard pushed to use it up
