Been playing games all my life and been on the internet since early dial up modems. I guess you could say I'm a veteran.
I can honestly say I've never heard of the word or seen any friends use it. These people that create these "words" are something special...

Every such word has been created by someone having a weird thought or just being lazy in typing.
For example, in the times of dial up modems, western gaming culture never used the ^^ but it was always : )
I think most ppl even used : - ) with the minus as nose.
Same goes for Thanks turning into thx. It was thanx before that. etc etc etc....

At least Pls and Plz are pronounced the same way as the full word. Plox is just a fake sound.
