Will amazon morrowind digital edition work with steam base game

Bought my base eso game from steam and have morrowind pre ordered off of Amazon ..will it work? Or will I have to purchase from steam?

There are some thing you can change but the game itself seems to behave like Steam is it's own platform like Xbox and PS4 so to speak-PC (PTS)/Xbox One: NewBlacksmurf
