2 healers in group finder?

I woke up today a little before I had to leave for work, I figured I'd do a random daily to get my nice bit of xp.

I queue up as a healer like a always do and start with the group. After the first little add kill I notice only one dps is doing the work. Tank is doing his thing. The other dps is HEALING!

I politely ask in chat why he's healing. No response of course. It is my job after all, being the healer. I go in to the group and he's down as healer and dps.

Why is thing even allowed? Dungeon group finder works to group 2 dps, tank and a healer, to my knowledge. So it's effectively allowed two healers to join?

On top of this, the guy turned werewolf at the final boss! I questioned what game I was even playing at this point lmao

I understand some people are not too "familiar" with game mechanics and rolls and such, but the guy was CP level. Come on.

Anyway. My gripe here is why was two healers in the same group

Well groupfinder(as well as any rational person) generally assumes someone listed for several roles can do either, so it put you there as healer and him as dps. It's pretty easy to swap from magicka dps to a healer(assuming you do know how to do either role) so nothing wrong with it per se. Now why he kept healing after being asked not to, let alone the ww part...lol

Some people are just bad. Coincidentally they're also usually the people who ignore any advice or questions/suggestions in group chat and whatnot. Cp mean nothing, there's heaps of absolutely clueless cp 300-600 people around.

got a buddy whom queues for all three roles...drives me nuts...his rationale is that he can do a little bit of everything...

great friend - but, I don't know what drives me crazier - the fact that he doesn't understand the different "roles", or, that he brings his non-combat pets into dungeons

Edit: to your point - yes, you should only be able to queue for one role...make a choice

The game only knows what someone marks themselves as, not that they're going to roll up in your group doing... whatever it is they do.

Sounds like a dummy double or triple queued roles. Usually they do none of the above.

I did that the other day. I queue as dps and heals. Pretty much always get heals. I actually got in as a dps, but didn't realise. I started doing more damage when I realised though...

In the end I just gave up and gave the dps hand because I felt it wasn't fair on him having to do all the work, until the last boss of course given the fact he then decided he didn't want to heal lmfao

Yes, if you group as heal+dps you tend to go as heal, if you and another compete as healer its an simple discussion, if both is competent healers the one with highest dps go DD.
Now if you go DD as the other heal and he go wolf and group wipe because of no heal he is an idiot.

The other is more common, guild chat: need help on last boss, I agree I die get res, we wipe, I complain about horible healing, Get answer that I'm the healer as I have healed before Nice to know before we start , switch to healer setup and we finish the boss.

Its not an pure ESO thing ran into the same in WOW, however this was way more common: I quested while in queue as DD+heal.
Enter dungeon in DD setup for questing, switching to heal had an 30 second cool down other 4 gogogo wiped during that time.

Whatever roles you select then you should be able to fulfil them. Don't select a role that you can't fulfil to try and bypass the queue.

it's not like there are any tooltips are tutorials to give you an idea of what specific gear and abilities help to define each role...

Yeah, tooltips would be good. Just a sentence for them, like:
Tank: your job is to get hit by everything and not die.
Healer: your job is to keep the tank alive.
Damage: your job is to kill things before the tank dies.
But then we couldn't have fun complaining in the forums after finding a bow light attack tank on our PUGs.

I do this on normal dungeons to get dungeons quicker. I heal...but I set myself as all three, dps, tank and healer....lol. The amount of rage I get from some people. I have had people rage quite when they saw the healer tanking...Then continue to complete the dungeon in under 20min without the person. Inversely, I have been kicked from a Normal dungeon group for being LvL30, saying "this dungeon is too difficult for you man", kinda stupid seeing as though I had run it successfully in under 20min 4 times in a row just before I joined with them...*sigh*....idiots.

Person does random dungeon, gets paired with random person, random person is randomly horrible, person writes post about it, 2/3 aint bad odds. Expect the best, perpare for the worst.
