So, looking at the set bonuses, it seems geared toward a tank. But, why is the 3 set piece bonus spell damage? I feel like there should be better stats to put there, like max resource or healing received, spell resist, etc. What's up with that?
is not a junk set. I use it and is very helpful when you have to mitigate skill from bosses that do huge damage. I would say this a complementary set, but not a main set for pve tanking.
This was one of the best in slot sets for blazing shield templars , as the Shields benefit from minor and major protection and the Spell damage was a nice boost for the templars Healing skills and resto ulti. However Blazing builds have died 2 patches ago , so now my goldened Vampire cloack set is collecting dust now. You can still use this set for some Shieldplar builds in PVE tanking if you want to have fun as a VDSA tank or Vet dungeons and some of the trials in vet.
Staff, jewels and chest piece on a sorc. Paired with a four piece damage set like Martial Knowledge and a monster set. With sorc shields could it be tanky, but also pack a bit of damage?
I've never played a sorc so just throwing ideas around.
