As I recall, the visual effect is technically part of the enchantment, and not the style itself. So if you get one and try to swap out the enchantment, that effect goes away.

Certain traits make the weapon glow and others don't.

So the crafted versions can pick up that glow? I haven't messed around with the dro'm-athra weapon motifs at all on live.
