Pirate Skeleton: This item set no longer procs if the damage you take is fully absorbed by a damage shield.

Pirate Skeleton: Increased the proc chance to 8% from 5%.

@ZOS_RichLambert Is it me or did you guys actually do two good, appropriate nerfs in a single PTS patch?!?! *Slow Clap*

    FINALLY.

They have balanced a blatantly obvious issue that has been used on Mag Sorcs since Homestead PTS. About time.

Major buffs such as mending, vitality, protection, should not be coming from a 2x monster set. If you think this will reduce the number of sorcerers running pirate skeleton, you are wrong.

Once it procs, it will still apply to shields and in this current form, I don't see why any sorc running it would drop it.

Sure, you'll have to take some actual damage, but now that the proc chance is increased and damage is plentiful in PVP, it will still be the same pretty much. We all take damage in PVP, and it doesn't matter if it's a small DOT proc or a hard hit, it will be having a decent up-time regardless.

If you're one of those sorcerers with 19k hp and no impenetrable or any type of resistances, yes you will be dropped in 2 hits and you probably won't benefit from this set. But if you're a sorcerer with 24k+ hp, very decent resistances and at least 30%+ critical resistance, then you definitely will.

Also, while we're at it, major protection should not apply on shields and if it should for any reason, then it shouldn't come from wearing a monster mask but something that requires a little bit more effort of any kind. Ultimates. It's been like that since forever, only after one tamriel have we started to see this kind of nonsense. Get rid of it, it's not helping PVP.

Regardless, a good nerf. Give them credit when due. Also, most mag sorcs that are abusing it stack everything possible into max mag, while having shields up 24/7. When caught without shields up, usually get nuked down pretty quick.

They don't deserve credit. 100 horrible updates with 200 offered solutions by the player base and they do one good thing and now you're all over them?

Don't you remember when you got 1 "A" on your report card and 4 "F's", did your mom go out and celebrate the one successful grade or did you get yelled at for the rest of the bad ones? ZOS has still failed to make this game any better than in the past, and until they do they shouldn't receive praise. They ignore their customer base, and slap them in the face with ridiculous changes and expect to maintain or increase sales; if this was the business plan of anyone else in the real world they'd be laughed at and ruined within a month.

We are over the phase of "its still early in the PTS", and we can finally see that they don't care what we have to say, and therefore we can stop wasting our time testing since it will only add more wasted hours to a game where the devs don't care about us.

I gave up on zos years ago. When they duck every patch up and say working as intended. I'm sure you get the point without a discription

Never give up, we as a community can change zos, it will just take time and effort.
