Master Writ another character upgrade?

I have a main crafting character who is lacking skill points in some passives(upgrading), but he has all the motifs and ability to craft. My question is can I craft the item with him, then put in the bank for another character to upgrade to legendary, then pull it out and turn it in?

I'm wondering if it's similar to standard provisioning writs, where you don't even have to make the food with that character, you can just get it out of your bank.

I can't answer your specific question, but I can say that it is NOT like standard writs and checks the name of the character that crafted the item vs who is turning in the master writ. My GUESS is that upgrading it with another character would work as that does not bind the item (and master writ items also must be unbound), but I cannot promise it.

My suggestion would be to take a small 5-6 voucher equipment master writ to test with before doing it with a large master writ.

Test with an epic upgrade before doing a legendary upgrade.

What I understand is that the craftsman with the Writ MUST do it all themselves.
If anyone else helps build the item it should not qualify.

OTOH this is what I understand, I have not tried to evade these requirements.
