Crafting problems

Hi everyone!
Today I was crafting some weapons for my girlfriend and I noticed a huge diference between her weapons and mine.
We crafted the same item (Axe one handed) with the same lvl (40) no trait and white. The problem is that her axe has more basic damage than mine.
I'm lvl 50 in blacksmithing ( all passives) and she's 36 aprox.
I don't know why mine are weaker. Even if I improve to epic lvl she can still craft more powerful weapons of lvl 40 or 50.

What I am doing wrong?

She probably has a race or another skill line with an axe/one handed bonus.

Are you the same character level? As a level 40 axes damage in the hands of a champion point 160 character will be less than the same axe in the hands of a level 40 character.

Perhaps mail/trade the axe to one another and look at stats of one made by you and one made by your friend.

Thx for the answers. I send to her a bow for her lvl (color epic) and the bow scale for her so is not about race, class or something. I'm lvl CP 255 so if I craft something to her it will scale
