They increase your "weapon damage" of dual wield and two handed abilities respectively.

Yes, I've seen them. How is Rally going to benefit from an increase in weapon damage? Are you adding it to the gain of Major Brutality when using Rally? Please enlighten me.

In ESO, direct damage is opposite of DoTs.
First tick is sometimes direct, depends on ability. Flurry is all DoT
Physical damage is just a type of damage like all the others(fire, lightning etc...). Just read tooltip of abiliti to know what is physical damage wand what isnt.

More weapon dmg increases stam based heals.
