Dunmer Dragonknight Tank?

I made a Dark Elf Dragonknight when console came out because of fire. I never played her much, level 26 magicka based. Now her horse is maxed out and I want to turn her into a tank. Can a Dunmer tank or am I really gimpimg myself here? Any thoughts appreciated.

Would like to know this too: with Sap Tanking going down the drain next update and sustain becoming a real issue, I was thinking about changing my Mag DK to a tank. But I'd prefer not to spend on race change tokens.

Anyone got a good guide to DK tanking btw?

Anything can tank, dont worry about unless you are in 5% top min maxers, then imperial/Argonian are meta

There's a line of thinking that says Dark Elf is probably the best race for end game tanking because you gain 9% Magic, 6% Stam. In a raid, or even dungeon situation—you're not going to need over 30k health—and you'll achieve that easily without Health bonus racial passives. In my opinion, the best Tanking race is Argonian followed by Dark Elf.

I had the same dilemma 2 years ago... I kept my main tank as a dunmer & have never regretted it or had any problems!

Alas, dunmer cannot be a tank. There are argonians and imperials only.

Dark Elf makes a solid tank, 6% Stam and 9%mag is huge. I had an Inperial for a long time and changed them to Dark Elf....

...but as stated, for tanking race is the least important of any three trinity MMO roles and truely race does not make a big difference with any role. Mostly just makes Elitist feel superior, which is what they are going after more than anything

I'm an Imperial DK on my tank but I think if I had to choose I'd choose argonian for race (especially next patch)

Good max stat which has been important with the DK tank, less so with the expansion.

Dumner will be just fine tanking. Probably on of the best four classes IMHO. Imperial, Argonian, Redguard and Dunmer in no particular order as I am not smart enough to determine which is actually best.
