Character reset

Hi

I have just reset my character attribute and skill points, I am a high elf templar, level 50 40 champion points.

I play mainly solo and looking to rebuild my character for mainly magic damage but also a healer to help in group dungeons.

Advice please on how best to spend attributes and skill points.

Weapon of choice would be staff, but can also dual wield if needed.

Much thanks in advance, have tried reading about this online but got even more confused!

Cheers

So nothing at all in stamina?
With the way the current games systems work you get a stronger character for stacking one attribute, this is because of all skills scaling off maximum resource values.

As Gargath said if you find you need a little more stamina in some cases you can use purple food (all three attributes) rather than the blue (2 attributes).
Also note that as you get more CP you'll be gaining a % increase to your resource pools, with Morrowind (June 6th) these will be capped at 20% with 300 CP.

Morrowind will also make CP more front loaded (get more for early points than later ones) meaning you'll have more benefit for spreading them about and can invest in things such as dodge/block/sprint reduction costs.

I'm not 100% on the meta but basically get yourself around 17k or 18k health (whilst you have a Health + Magicka food active), then dump the rest into Magicka.

As you level up and gain more CP your attributes and food effectiveness will go up and you can reset every now and then to balance it out again.

You can put the majority (or all) of your attribute points in stamina or magicka for a build that focuses on either, or you could go hybrid. Granted, hybrid builds are currently far from the meta as I understand it, but it's all about what you enjoy playing.

I'd say don't put points into stamina, instead eat Purple food granting increase to all stats, so the stamina too.
All points into magicka, unless you end up with less than 17k HP even with triple food, then spend some points into health.
If you want to be both dps and healer, than lightning/restoration staffs, not DW.
