Craglorn Welwa is way too tiny.

It's smaller than a dog. The Senche-Tiger pets are a reasonable size, can you not alter size of the Welwa to make it bigger?

“'Cute'? What use have I for 'cute'? I am Undaunted—give me a monster!"
Said the guy who apparently still wanted a monster short enough to not nibble on his knees.

EDIT: Some size comparisons

Significantly smaller than a dog, bit bigger than a fennec fox.

Does it have any animations? When looking in the crown store preview it just... breathes.

    It's WAY TOO small

    It's tiny!

I was JUST about to make a thread about this. This is a disappointing welwa to be sure... just scale it to freckled guar size please and thanks.

Also yes it has animations, it scratches it's belly with its hind leg and it lays down while waiting, oh and it shakes its head.

It's a non combat pet so it's tiny and impotent .

Thank you! I'm glad someone agrees with me on this. It's even smaller than a pig, I don't get why they made it so small, they never advertised it as being a cub or anything.
I doubt they'll ever fix the size of it, once something is in the store they'll never touch it again, I really hope with do though.

They make no mention of it being a pup in the description of the pet or in the Crown Store Showcase, they just made it super small.

I wasn't being serious, actually. It's just what I would have tried to make me believe. I considered buying it at first because it's kind of grotesque looking and that's my thing. But I have no use for pets and then I luckily saw this post about the size. It's laughable.

Quit laughing, man. I have a grotesque rat on steroids for a pet, this is serious business.

I was pretty excited when they announced it too, I was hoping they'd give us a welwa pet for a while but yeah...got a buff rat instead.

It is adorably ugly. I love it!
And it also has a "gnaws on a bone"-animation. And the "scratches its belly"-animation is great.
I don´t regret buying it at all. :) Very cute.

Absolutely agree, lies down and everything. Plus I like the bulky feeling, I don't mind that it's not larger, it reminds me a little of a bulldog.

I agree with the animations being nice and all that but it's called a Craglorn Welwa, it's not supposed to be a bulldog. Here's an informative side-by-side comparison of an actual Welwa from Craglorn and the pet.

The animations are very nice. Also, no annoying sounds or repetitive movements either. Plus, the eyes blink. I'm a big fan of mounts and pets that actually blink.

There could be a little more slobber when he's panting. :)

Great comparison to the real Welwa size, maybe we can get pet food to grow our pets ... 1 portion per day >:)
I probably wouldn't want the real size but I'd agree a tad bigger would be nice.

    So it is.
The developers -told- them not to wash them too hot, but did they listen? No, they were all "eugh, it stinks of orc feet" and plopped them right into the hot bath, where they shrank like a wool pullover. So there you have it. The secret behind the amazingly miniature welva. :p;)

    On a more serious note...

...I always though the fact that we have welva in craglorn and not overrunning bangkorai as well might indicate that welva are usually not that big after all, but this is a special craglorn breed. Possibly even an unnaturally large one. As such I would not be all that bothered by a non-combat pet being much smaller...

Note on the sidelines - how about a "combat welva" skin for the upcoming wardens bear summons?

If it was a baby it would be called Welwa cub or pup or something. Gonna use the Senche Panther as an example:

Even if the Craglorn breed was freakishly large for a Welwa, the pet is called Craglorn Welwa. I don't think think a Welwa would naturally stop growing to such a small size; assuming the Welwa in Craglorn are the same creatures the Aldmer encountered Welwas and they're tapestries show them as "strange, holy beasts of horns and savage teeth, depicted as ravagers and saviors of the land".

This Welwa pet could ravage your shins I suppose...

Ugh, I hate tagging Zos in these kinds of things but I'd think a re-write of the item description is in order, or a change to the model scale.

Its possible that the Iron Orcs stole welwa cubs in order to keep them "tame" and perhaps being kept that way stopped them from growing as large as wild welwas
