So, this is relating to the website, but one thing I've noticed is that when someone posts a video and I click on it, it will redirect my current tab to youtube for the video.

Can the video either be embedded in the post or at least open a new tab instead of changing the current one?

What browser do you use? It plays right on the website for me. Does the same thing happen for you when people embed videos in the forums?

I'm using chrome. Sometimes it seems to play in the post but sometimes it just redirects me to youtube when I click it (like this post just now it happened to me https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/341360/the-reality-of-eso/p1 and there have been several others in the past that do the same thing).

Same. It may also be a setting in the OPs browser.

So I thought you were crazy.. but suddenly mine have started doing it too. It's like they are using just the thumbnail (instead of loading the full player every time you open the thread) but instead of putting the player in place of the video it redirects you to youtube now...

It only does it on the forums for me though, not on the actual ESO website in their articles... so I thought maybe something to do with the forum update that also broke our alignment/colour/size bbcodes?

Also using Chrome, and always have.
