I have thousands of hours in game. I saw a game master a few times not long after launch when botting was the absolute worst. Accounts everywhere with names like sdfjhdsf43423 camping every boss so you couldn't finish quests. Haven't actually seen one since then.

I actually saw one in game maybe 2 weeks ago. They talked in chat for a few minutes then went silent

I don't believe PS4 NA has game masters at all on a regular basis. They are rarer than Aetherial Dust - It's obvious from the bots and lack of enforcement of rules, behavior etc that there's not a lot of oversight.

Although, ZOS did issue some bans on console last month when a few players crossed a line - I just don't know if there were Game Masters on at that time or if they got wind of it via reports and reacted that way.

They should have volunteers at least with some ability to flag players, kick bots (making them re-log) issue 30 minute social bans etc, but I have no idea how screening would be accomplished for such volunteers and there's potential for abuse even there.

I got a message from one with replacement to the whole disappearing furniture (when trading inside someone's house) fiasco. I am sure they are around, maybe doing dugeons, or trials just making sure everything is in order.

Shouldn't they be easily identified? The loading text says they have a boxed Z symbol with their name.

I like to imagine the Game Masters as being similar to the KGB.

Supposedly they don't exist, but if you step out of line, they will appear and they will come for you.


jk though. I recall seeing some in zone chat in the really early days. I remember there being some sort of q&a down by a dock in what I think was an EP zone whose name I can't recall at all. Not sure if that was Beta or what.
