With pve you learn why you are fighting in the first place. I enjoy pvp but havnt gotten into it because I'm not into how *** cyrodils crashes are. Instead of fixing cyrodil they give all the wrong nerfs (did nerfing crit fix proc builds in pvp?) And instead of seperating pvp and pve they get one side of the playerbase to hate the other

We can't lose PvP

Without PvP our dungeon runs would have 1m+ dps requirements to ensure 5 second long runs, the leaderboards for every trial would have to be long enough to fit all guilds in the game and random gear would be obscenely strong for no reason because lel.

I play exclusively PvE but the reasons Zenimax talks about for some of their nerfs (unkillable players with unlimited sustain) are not something I have ever seen in my PvE play. So I also have to conclude that balancing PvE and PvP separately may be the way to go.

I am glad that PvP is in the game because it seems like many (not me) enjoy it. Where both communities seem to share some agreement is that using one set of balance rules creates more problems than benefits. Some skills already behave differently (slow in PvP vs stun in PvE) so that might be an idea to expand upon. Or perhaps create differing instances for the two. I, for one, would love to explore Cyrodiil without hostile players - yet I certainly would not want to remove the PvP instance of it for those who enjoy PvP.

Both PVE and PVP are important and neither should be removed.

I always thought that Everquest 2 handled their PVP extremely well, each ability had a value for PVE and a value for PVP.

For example; An Assassin's long cool-down Assassinate ability would deal 15k damage in PVE but only 5k damage in PVP.

@AcadianPaladin I wouldn't worry about going into Cyrodiil, you can go into Trueflame on the EU server and do all the PVE content and very very rarely see another player lol. I recently went there to finish the fishing achievement and only saw one other player the whole time I was there! Just avoid the keeps and you'll be fine.

You're joking. ESO pvp is the most boring, grindy, talentless, mindless zergfest. All to make one player emperor so he can have his ego inflate.

If you want good pvp play a game designed around it not some half baked capture the flag bs.

Infinitely more fun and balanced pvp in pvz gw2 compared to this dreck.
