Lost skill points when respec

Just reset my skill points. I had 5 free ones that were unassigned. Saving them. Just finished 9 trait master crafter though. So i figured respec and get my points back I had in research. With those 8 points (4 from BS and 4 from clothing, finished wood months ago) plus the three I took out of rune extraction and 3 from gourmand I should have had 19 points spare after respec. Instead I had 14. WTF? Did I seriously lose my unassigned points. I take pictures of all my skill trees so whenever I do this so I put things right where they go so I didn't waste any. I checked 5 times.
