This is really dumb to me mainly cuss of console players can not play pts without having a gaming pc aND a 2nd account. So normally I just watch twitch or videos of the pts and give feed back as are game play and style can be different then keyboard players. But now we can't even watch the pts so pc only gets to give feed back. Please ZOS @ZOS_GinaBruno please lift the nda

If you wanna Gen hype let 2/3 of your player base see it. Not just 1 system

I think the NDA sucked away hype by causing the "Warden is P2W" narrative to run wild. The NDA made it look like Zos was trying to hide something (maybe they are?) so perception was bad when it was paired with existing class nerfs.

I believe they are testing this method to improve actual feedback from the PTS. They mentioned access to the private portion is based on provided feedback previously.

If this works then it would mean their feedback is larger and more focused and Zos would be able to have a larger group next time since the base game can still be tested and feedback provided.

Further, I think Zos mentioned a there would be a forum section for the private portion of the PTS which would help focus the feedback to those actually testing vs players that have only read patch notes or read threads in the forums.

Would be interesting to see how they move forward.

Idk how give less people acces and let only a portion of 1/3 of there player base even see it will help give more feed back it sounds like that would just provide a specific type of feed back as only I type of group is getting in as where letting more people gives more points of view on different play styles

Because if all saw it, we might actually be able to make rational decisions with our money.

This is not smart business though so that is why we are shut out. Hopefully someone will breach their NDA and we can see more before June.

Its not PTS its the beta. I believe the will have a normal PTS after.
Played for about 2 years on Xbox and did everything you can do (-emp).
    Still pretty new to PC-NA.

I think this pretty much nails it.

The issue of console players not being able to access the PTS is an entirely different subject to this topic which is about the NDA. Given the scale of the changes and additions this time as well as the unusually extensive amount of time being given to testing those changes and additions I think it's perfectly reasonable to have the NDA. Anyone who objects to it doesn't have to sign up to it.

In any event, the NDA currently only applies to Morrowind and not to the base game changes to the classes etc, so console players have every opportunity to read about those changes and to contribute to the discussion about them here on the forum. Their inability to participate on the PTS is not new, it's always been the case, so for those who consider that a critical issue it's something to take into account when deciding whether to play the game and if so on which platform.

It does not make sense to me as a NEW Class is being added that we can't even see or give any feed back. And console players not having pts is very related to nda as normally we gave feed back by watching videos of the pts content. We can now not only not see the new class but the new pvp style and how it plays these are 2 huge changes that all players deserve to see

whenever there is an NDA this late into development I will assume that there are some serious problems with the product that the devs don't want people to know about.

(it might sound cynical, but in my experience this is usally what it means when creators keep info from the public this cloose to release)

If they wanted that then they would have sent out keys to youtubers and streamers and allow them to make videos about it and stream it.

ask in game chat you will get told everything you want to know

there would be a lot of sorry kids out there if they actually did decide to enforce the nda rule on breaking it

    @hamburgerler76

Very simple. The design encourages feedback. Those that don't have access know that they need to provide feedback on the base game they have access to if they want an invite next time. Then need to continue to provide feedback for an invite the time after that.

    Not a bad idea.

Edit: and Zos is still sending out invites so maybe their looking at those providing actual feedback in the PTS forums. That makes sense also. Posts in general section are probably not considered PTS feedback and the information posted may be looked at to a degree to seek out those just complaining without actually visiting the server.

No, it's really not. Before launch there were some testing cycles that were under NDA as well. This is the first closed test in over three years, but it's not the first time ZOS has asked players to sign an NDA.

Pretty much this. Theres nothing really going on in Morrowind that requires any serious secrecy. We've seen enough images and video of the island to know generally what it will look like, the storyline may or may not be as well received as Wrothgars was (TG and DB was mediocre and essentially the same story) and ZOS is not being all that secretive about the new class as theyve shown off and done numerous articles regarding the Warden including insights into its abilities.

This is just a psychological trick the company is using to draw players into buying it that might be on the fence about it.
