v AA HM. We do alright until about 60% and then everything just goes to ****. The mines, black pools, chain lightning. What causes the black pools to spawn more or less? Popping mines leaving them alone? Also I hear something about chain lightning having to do with the reflections being up? Also does being on the center pad matter or not? I keep hearing all different answers and I'm just trying to get to the bottom of this. And yes I have searched and couldn't find a definite answer. TIA.

    1. popping the mines, helps movability and not getting one shot, make sure to use a shield and then walk over it.
    2. the black pools that comes is a mechanic that comes after the bosses health is down to a % cant remember how low
    3. Chain lighting is when 2 people stand to close to each other, make people stand 2 on each other to prevent that

    Black pools are spawned from mini mages they need to be priortized depending on atros health.

    This is old and misleading. Mages reflections since it became vet they spawn on a timer after the 3rd atro drops. This fight takes a group with massive dps we were running 250k a second and struggling with ad management.

    Didn't we also have a few that haven't even done normal vet mode as well?

    I mean, it's called "hard mode" for a reason. Have your ranged dps focus the reflections and have your melee execute the atros. The fight is more about positioning and survivability than anything else. However, 250k dps WITH raid buffs will put you way behind.

    So your saying the 3 melee in the group is suppose to kill an atro with 2.8 million health every 20 seconds? That's 47k dps a player on the atro alone so with boss dps included melee needs to do 60k+. I'm sure this is attainable now but after patch good luck.

    We have 4 melee on boss + off tank. Atros get stacked and die super fast. Reflections minimise pools so get rid of them, if the DKs can get to them, get an engulfing flames and Aether tick applied to them
