Why is my spell damage so low in vet?

So I've just got to vet on a character that I've built for dps in pvp and I used the same set up that I used in normal, 5 spinners, 5 kagrenacs, 2torugs and my spell damage is much much less in vet than it was in nonvet.

Can someone please help me with this and explain how I can get the same damage, I see videos of people with 3k+ spell damage with no cp so I don't understand why I'm not reaching what I was before... (my gear is cp160 so no I am not overlevelled for it.)

After that who cares?
They're a mile away and you've got their shoes.

There are two things going on:

    1. Your on the thin end of the buff curve. Pre L50, the game gives you all kinds of buffing, this drops at CP10 and goes away at CP160.

    2. The game has a battle leveling system in PvP that reduces your stats to make for a more even playing field.

Just remember, this is happening to everyone else too, not just you.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

You can blame battle leveling for that.

    Silivren (Silly) Thalionwen | Altmer Templar | Magicka | 9-Trait Master Crafter/Jeweler | Master Angler | PVE Main - Killed by U35
Jahsul at-Sahan | Redguard Sorcerer | Stamina | Werewolf - Free Bites | PVP Main
Derrok Gunnolf | Redguard Dragonknight | Stamina | Werewolf - Free Bites
    Liliana Littleleaf | 9-Trait Grand Master Crafter/Jeweler (non-combat)
Amber Emberheart | Breton Dragonknight | Stamina | Master Angler
Vlos Anon | Dunmer Nightblade | Magicka | Vampire - Free Bites
Kalina Valos | Dunmer Warden | Magicka | Vampire - Free Bites
    Swiftpaws-Moonshadow | Khajiit Nightblade | Stamina
Morgul Vardar | Altmer Necromancer | Magicka
Tithin Geil | Altmer Sorceress | Magicka
Dhryk | Imperial Dragonknight | Stamina

Guild Master - ESO Traders Union
    PC/NA - CP 2400+

    What is this battle levelling?

It is called lowering the "ceiling" until it sits in the basement below the "floor"; you feel strong until after you reach lvl 50, then bam, you become akin to a milksop in comparison.

But how do I get my damage as high as it is in people's build videos, some people have like 3000dmg without cp...

    CP doesn't change weapon/spell damage.

It increases damage overall depending where you put them, but never weapon/spell damage itself
