There used to be a indicator light on the launcher that was removed at some point and is planed to return eventually.

Someone from these forums actually made a simple little program that checks the status of the servers and gets its info from the same source that the launcher used to. I don't know if it it auto refreshes, but its still a lot easier than launching the game and trying to login.

I ran it through virus total, and have been using it my self for months. Still if you don't want to use it I understand but thought I'd share anyways. Just un zip and run "Realm Status Panel.exe" Hopefully ZOS returns the indicator light to the launcher sometime soon.

The strangest part about this, for those with long memories, is that after removing the server status from the launcher they immediately mentioned looking into a way to re-enable the functionality at some point in the future. If you can explain the logic of that to me I'd be very impressed.

This is a buff if you are colourblind, now the status icon no longer triggers you.

If you stop to reason you will understand that it would be much more feasible not to waste time and repeatedly open the game to confirm that it is offline.

Just looking at the laucher .... without having to open and wait to load every 15 minutes or less.

I'm using "ESO Toolkit" on my smartphone(android) ...
it seemed more practical. And simple ..
although I still think there should be status in the launcher.

They removed the online status indicator from the launcher back when they moved the server/realm selection option from the launcher to the client, and have been "looking into a way to get it back in there" ever since. (Not that this really bothers me, since I use the launcher only for updating the game, and to play it, I run eso64.exe directly.)

Don't ask me about the logic of what those two things have to do with each other, considering even a "simple" website like Woeler's can independently query the server status. I kinda suppose the ZOS coders don't really understand their own code anymore (as proven on more than one occasion ).

Also, we all know how long it takes for ZOS to implement even the simplest features. Icons to indicate ornate/intricate/research status in the inv screen, buff tracker, stuff like that. At least on PC, we've been using addons for those things for months/years.

It doesnt matter at whitch Time ZOS takes the Server offline, with a Playerbase from all over the World its always Prime Time for some. That said, im at the German/Dutch Border. Primetime in Europe, the same as in the states is around 7pm to late at night. With maintenance starting at 10 am central europe time, you have Europe and UK on low Time also the eastern US in lowtime but the pacific Region of the US for example has maintenance at theire primetime, starting at 1 am theire time and also Australia, having maintenance at around 4 pm in the afternoon starting.
