Been playing for maybe a couple of months now and really enjoying it. I'm about 212 cp and at the moment I spend my precious free game time doing a few undaunted dailies, maybe some quests in the areas I havent yet finished and crafting dailies.

My question is there anything I should be focusing on to make my use of time more efficient. I hate levelling alts and want to concentrate on making my little character as powerful as possible; the progression is what I find enjoyable in MMO's.
Am I missing any dailies I should be doing? What about VMA I've never tried it, should I be doing it? Are there weekly awards for doing stuff? I have all dlc.

Right now I am trying to level undaunted to get the bonus stat passive from armor, levelling alliance points to level 4 to get warhorn and have got a set of SPC together with Worms and also a crafted set of seducer for when the nerf comes in (I'm a templar healer btw). I am also trying to make a bit of gold (slowly but surely) To upgrade my gear to gold but only have one piece done so far.

Any help and advice on things to focus on would be really really helpful!

    Well, a very fast way to get a small amount of undaunted points every day is to do the daily delves (they are worth 5 undaunted xp/day, and can usually be speed run in less than 15 minutes). As for others, well, craft writs, especially if you're using the dolgubon's lazy writ crafter addon for the pc, are usually a fast way to level crafting skills, and grant additional materials and surveys for your writs. Beyond that, get involved in a good guild, and let them help you improve your character. Many guilds will help run dungeons to farm gear for you, and will give you good advice on how to build a stronger character.

    Do your random dungeon on normal difficulty when you are enlightened for a big chunk of XP, should knock you up a CP or 2 instantly.

    Dont try vMA just yet lol, wait till higher CP, and if you are a healer which it sounds like by your grind of armour, then a respecc would be required and new armour too.

    rest sounds fine man, just power through the CP. research your traits if you are crafting, get your horse levelled up.

    Sounds like you're on the right track for a healer with a full set of SPC and Worm's, many consider these BiS. If you haven't already maybe you can work towards getting better traits on the set pieces. The vMA and DA weapons are best-in-slot, but they're not must-haves unless you're looking to do time trial achievements or winning high-score rewards.

    The difference in efficiency between purple and gold gear Is minimal (Deltia did a video on it a while ago, you do get a few percent better performance, but for a crazy increase in cost), so don't worry too much about getting everything to gold. Also, it's probably a good idea to be saving your yellow tempers and tannins for Morrowind, in case there's some new sets you'd like or some major changes that makes your current configuration obsolete.

    Other than that, I'd say focus on your skill level. Spell rotation, dungeon mechanics, general awareness of what is going on around you. Working on these things can yield much greater performance boosts than upgrading set pieces to gold or getting that coveted divines trait.

    SPC and Worm is a must on a healer for next patch, due to sustain nerfs. I'd say if you'll be getting involved with trails, farm Maw of Lorkhaj for Twilight Remedy as that's also another healer set. You could instead of using TRD (Twilight Remedy) use Mending, from Aetherian Archive.

    So if you're a healer I'd suggest having these sets:
    * Spell Power Cure
    * Worm's Raiment
    * Twilight Remedy - Maw of Lorkhhaj - Trial
    * Mending - Aetherian Archive - Trial
    * Infallible Aether - Hel Ra Citadel, Sanctum Ophidia (AKA Kanker Ophidia), Aetherian Archive
    -(Only use 5th piece bonuses on Atronachs, as Off-Balance/Concussion does not affect them), so the minor vulnerability from IA is better vs. them. That's the only time for anyone to use 5th piece IA.
    * Try to farm a Charged Lightning staff. If you are able to use generic (non-set staves), then get a charged lightning staff crafted, as on destro bar for healers it's BiS (Best in Slot), due to off-balance and concussion proccing more.

    My advice is always to do what is fun to YOU! I've been playing this game since beta and for me personally whenever I am too goal oriented for too long I burn myself out. There is a wealth of content for you to enjoy and while not all content is created equal, it certainly shows there is no one right way to play the game.

    IMO save your gold for more worthwhile items. Unless you're doing end game content, gold weapons then a selective mix of gold enchants on jewels, weapon and perhaps the large armor pieces. Improving a weapon to gold is a large spell power boost but on armor the benefits are minimal.

    Advice: Weapon gold, armour purple is good enough. Difference is negligible.

    Ahh great advice, thanks a lot. I've already got a spell power cure lightening staff and the resto one. I got told in a different thread that seducers set will be better than worms after the nerf. Do you guys think that's true?

    I'll upgrade my weapons then and leave the armour for now.

    Looking forward to logging on tonight with a bit more focus. Thanks a lot
