Round 7 – Vault of Umbrage

Vault of Umbrage. With Frozen Ice Rinks being a close second. Whenever I'm past stage 7 it's a walk downhill from there on. Whoever thought that ranged NPC with oblivion damage standing in a high AOE environment (yes ice arrows, looking at you) was a fun idea has a serious issue. But nothing really beats the good ol poison plant RNG.

Then they'll die. Anytime that a Venom Caller spawns while the Argonian Behemoth is doing their Enraged Scream, they immediately die. Unless if they spawn toward the end of the Enraged Scream, and they finish porting as the boss stops.

Actually I tried it on my second toon who has undaunted lvl 3 its still a bit challenge even with destro ult sometimes.

Keep at it bud, my first complete took me 2 months (a total of 20-30h), 3 chars swap and 4 builds made.

Tried it on the very first time on a stam DK, its not pretty as a first timer on a stam char.

Overall deaths = close to 800 (i mainly resurrected inside, made it easier to count).

I completed it 4 times so far, i can`t say its hard but not easy either, so far at least.

What class are you? I made a mag sorc just to farm VMA and it was so much easier.

Magblade is usually considered faster and easier than MagSorc in todays meta. The easiest is kinda Stam Sorc without any debate though lol

They only find it hard because it can be buggy.
+ The Flame Knight has insane burst if you can't kite her.
+ Also the last boss can animation cancel her skills which can be pretty.
Other than that its kinda on the same level like stage 3 or 4 maybe.

Stuck on stage 6 for 2 weeks, finally got the courage to get in and beat it today, yay!
Now I'll see how long I'll stuck on stage 7.

The number of times I have accidentally killed one of the mages when standing under their shield Amazingly this happened the first time I got flawless, and I didn't die, but usually when that happens it is the end

Blasted through stage 7 and 8 with a million deaths of course, and I have to say stage 9 is real despair, the hardest imo.
Just couldn't get down the fire guards fast enough, so close to finishing my first vma, yet so far.
I had to admit, any flawless conquer is truely expert at the game, top 1% of the game for sure.
ZOS, plz nerf down vma, it's insanely difficult..

Stage 9 is easier comparing beating rng in stage 7,

Stage 9 is like a fix script what adds/boss will do!

Stage 5 and stage 7 for sure.

On my main, a stamDk i find the stage 5 particullary frustrating. I would say more than stage 7.

Something on the stage 7 must be told, though.
When you introduce such unforgiving mechanic like the mushroom that basically kill you in 2 ticks, you MUST be ACCURATE and PRECISE with the hitbox and visual effect of it. I found myself in a TONS of situations where i was poisoned by a mushroom without even being in the red circle at the explosion time.

Round 7 – Vault of Umbrage

Nine is standard vet dungeon/ boss mechanics. Grab the gold ghosts, dodge the rest, stun the big monsters, burn the boss. A little pew-pew and hiding up top. I watched a video and beat it on my second try on my first toon. I don't get how people wipe so often or make such a big deal out of the stage when the arena is wide, uncluttered and has obvious mechanics and strategies.

The only confusing part that dragged out the fight is when I got knocked off and had to drag > kill the summoned add to activiate a portal. Seven remains the only stage that can crap up a flawless run, I find burning too fast or messily can have terrible consequences. Stage 5 you can obliterate with a destro staff, ult and shields.

Tried to do vMA with my magicka templar. Gave up on stage 4 after 30 deaths and no new ideas, knowing if I had trouble there I'd have no chance later.

Tried again with magicka sorcerer, and it was a lot easier. Stage 5 was the first hard one, and worse than 6 or 7. Stage 8 was the only one I didn't even die once on. I had used about 100 soul gems for the first 8 stages, and now I've used another 100 trying to beat stage 9. I might very well need another 100 before I actually beat it.

5 and 7 are close to me, but cause the stage 7 is mostly RNG, will go with round 5.

I'm a Breton magicka Templar , managed to stage 9 so far, mind you the vma leaderboard are all Templars.

Never made it past round 5, I was on final boss and it was almost done then the unthinkable happens I get 1 shoted. I am still on 5 6 months later, but my cp lv is much higher now so I will be giving it another try.

Congrats on your completion of vma!
Me too, I'll never run another vma after I succeeded one completion, it's not fun. Dark soul has been more forgiving and much easier than stage 9 final boss.

Round 6 – Spiral Shadows

I get the most deaths here and its usually my first death of my run. I find it the hardest. Some say Vault of Umbrage but I find that easier. Sure the poison flowers are alittle difficult to see sometimes, but it's relatively easy IMO... The spider swarm insta-killing ya, having to kill the beetle thing by the pillar,... I found this stage the hardest to go through the first time,.. and after I beat to now, I think "ahhh,.. it's smooth sailing from here... Round 8 is a joke,... about as difficult as round 1 and round 9 too is very hard but something about it being the last level kinda makes it seem easier for me because i know i'm at the end.
