Remove Crafting Skill Point

As a point of reference, I just started playing 2 weeks ago. PC.

I put a 2nd point in 'Tailoring' because I knew I would want it 'some day', but this morning I'm getting a Clothing Writ to now craft that next level, which, I'm not any where near ready to go to, nor have I collected any of that second tier material.

Is there a way to spend gold (or real money) to undo that one point I spent in Tailoring?

There are shrines in one city of each fraction (Mournhold for Pact; Wayrest for Covenant; and Eldenroot for Dominion) that house a large cathedral of the eight. The 3 shrines in these cathedrals allow a reset of attribute points, skill points (or morphs only) and maras blessing.

So, grab some gold and ask someone to port you to one of these cities for a reset. The skill point reset is the most expensive (100g per skill - i think) so make sure you have enough gold on you. Btw. you can only reset ALL morphs or ALL skills, you cannot choose ONE specific skill to be resetted.

    Okay, thank you!

Is there any way to see how many skill points you have spent so far to get an idea as to how much it will cost before you go?

As well, upon putting that second point into Tailoring you should have noticed your resource nodes changed. You should be finding 50% of nodes are for whatever material your character level would need, and the other 50% should be the level material that now matches that second tier.

I don't believe there's any way to check how many skill point you have unless you're on PC.. then there's an addon for that.

since u just started I would say just leave the skill point in it, there are so many skill points to gather 300+ in the game, that in the end you will probably put a skill point in it anyways :)

or use the shrine as mentioned above

Oh that's interesting. So the Jute nodes will now give the next level material 50% of the time? Would that mean that killing the wolves around will give me the next level of hide 50% of the time? The Writ I got today was for leather.

Yes! So if you're level 14 or below, you'll see jute (character level) and flax (tier 2)

If you got a writ for leather, that means you actually put 2 skill points in, plus the base game gave you one. You are now tier 3 for tailoring.

So you'll find jute/rawhide (character level, if you're level 14 or below) and cotton/leather (tier 3 materials). SHOULD be about 50/50 on what you see, but you may see stretches wehere you mostly see jute, and sometimes mostly cotton.

So yes, killing wolves should give you about 50% of your character level material, and 50% of your crafting tier material (leather)

    Thanks again!

Only two points, I guess I meant I was 'at' 2, so I only put 1 in.

But regardless, I went out in the world instead of sulking in town about my new Clothing quest, and I'm starting to see both types of cloth and hide now. So, it'll take me a little bit to get settled into some resources, but now there is clearly a way forward without having to go backwards!
