not sure if bug or glitch or taken out of game

in craglorn in one of the solo delfs, there is this little secret where u save a small wolf pup from a harpy and u follow him, save him another time till he is at his mom/dad, as thanks the mom/dad digs a chest out , i need to lockpick the chest, but after lockpicking, and open the chest i get nothing, had this multiple times with 3 chars, is this a bug, an unlucky glitch or was this taken out but does still work even tho is shouldnt????

I suspect that what happened is that during the change of Craglorn from "group zone" to whatever you want to call it now after Homestead that the zone-wide loot table changes didn't get updated for certain lesser-known encounters. I hear that the overworld Ogre boss you summon with Bright Crystals normal reward chest drops odd items that are not CP 160 but something odd like the original CP 120 (well, formerly VR 12) items. I suspect the same is true with your secret wolf pup.
