Why you Wont Quit ESO

ESO community:

It's time to get real. You arent going to quit ESO. Even with the impending changes (that can easily be fixed with one patch) you wont unsub and throw up some deuces. So please stop threatening it. Let's go into why:

ESO in fact does not have a true rival on the market. Sure there are other open world MMOs withopen world pvp and player housing and armor dyeing - SURE! But lets be real honest: There are no other MMOs that pay the same level of detail.

• Actual fully voiced MMOrpg
• Open World PvP that accommodates a wide range of group and playstyles
• True "play how you want" - yes this is true. Look at pvp and tell me how many different VIABLE PvP builds are out there. There are more playstyle accommodations than any other game. Everyone can craft a unique build and PvP. Yes there are METAs but they are not MANDATORY
• Pickpocketing and NPC assassination
• World looting (barrels, sacks, desks, drawers, yeah no other mmo does that)
• Combat - its addicting, animation cancelling and stringing combos from every class skill and weapon type and guild skills

and much more. All these things combined create a world atmosphere that is intoxicating and worth revisting over and over. you just arent going to find this experience in another game. You will always come back. ESO whether by default or design does not havea rival in today's market. We have a truly amazing game and amidst all the worry and negativity, I personally stand up and salute the wonderful hardworking and dedicated staff members of Zenimax Online Studios.

I won't personally, but don't kid yourself. A lot of people already have quit, and more have canceled subscriptions/preorders. There is a real backlash going on right now...I quit Destiny after playing since launch for ESO because of similar issues they were doing I felt ruined the fun for me. People will quit and never come back to ESO, just not us yet!!

In life there are dichotomies. I can be chagrined over the nightblade changes and still love the game.

I don't get people who quit over things like this. There is a whole new map coming out! I haven't even "finished" this game yet after 9 months! I have at least 2 years of stuff to do at the rate I'm doing it and then there will be even more stuff to do!

I can love this game and still want better treatment of nightblades.

This is even a more accurate assessment when you consider the console peasant... We literally have no other quality fantasy MMO to turn to (don't make mention of NEVERINWTER... just don't even bother).

I would have jumped ship on general principal so many patch changes ago beyond mentioning (looking at you CP system!).

You PC master race are a lucky lot indeed.

I don't care about any of the asnine "pros" you've listed. I care about quality gameplay, and with that ESO struggles. Likely because ZOS is too busy propping up the distractions you consider benefits.

I wont quit no! Oh wait Destiny 2 is coming out. I have yet to start FFXV i've been holding off cause i didnt want it to stop me playing ESO. I might just put that disc in tomorrow.

So yeah theres alot of games out there and I for one enjoy alot of different genre of games. I dont have to play just one. I've already told my old destiny clan ill be on tonight.

Alot of ppl have already quit, and alot more will follow if these patch notes go live looking even remotely like they do now.

All of this is irrelevant. I play ESO because I like Elder Scrolls series, even if ESO has broken lore, poor balance etc.

Agreed. I do feel bad for the console diehards, but its hard to feel too bad when you have glorious PC perks such as these.

I still play EverQuest 2, WoW, GW2, and yes Neverwinter (it's still a fun romp with full D&D mechanics).

It won't even be a thing if my wife and I decide to leave ESO behind, OP.

3 years isn't even a blip on the MMORPG timeline. Fact.

2. Hate PVP so dont care.

3. Isn't PVE so dont care.

4. Could do without, s'nice but dont really care.

5. Also nice but not mandatory.

6. It's a rotation driven MMO like everything else, there's nothing here I cant get in any other decent MMO.

I allready -have- quit ESO. I dont actually play it for the -game- anymore. I RP here. Elsewise, I hop on For Honor or the myriad of singleplayer games.

Honestly?

Neverwinter is straight up better balance wise than this piece of crap, not to mention better designed on a combat level. Only thing ESO has over it is it looks pretty.

O P, Stop deluding yourself, ppl are unsubbing and ppl are quitting. When the fun of playing a class u invested ALOT of time in are taken away bit by bit the decision to quit playing aint hard to make. And no voiceacting, housing or other fluff fluff can change that

You are the poster child for why these forums should be for subscribers only.

I have a neighbor that is just like this every time the game goes on sale he buys copies so he can troll the forums after his other accounts gets banned.

This is why the devs will never listen to what is said on the forums...they can't because they have no idea what is actual and what is a disgruntled troll.
