A Tank.. built like a tank, but..

First off, this is not a rant, people. Get over it.. Ha ha. So, here goes. Let's see what kind of interesting comments and feedback are to follow.

After over a year of playing a solo StamDK.. yes, kicking butts and taking names. Just shut you all you haters on StamDK. Ha ha. So, during the recent awesome double xp events of the Jester and Jubilee cake, I have created all new toons with a MagSorc, StamSorc, StamPlar, MagDK and StamBlade and enjoyed every bit leveling up each one. I have since enjoyed ESO more. Although, similar in many ways, each toon and class does have its own unique skillsets and abilities, and I enjoyed very much experiencing those different builds. Yes, I didn't realize I was so sheltered with the StamDK; although, he will always be my boy and the foundation for me in this game. I have always been a dps and never though twice about being a tank.. well, until the recent good experiences with the other toons, and the bygone era of the Jester and Jubilee, I finally just created a new tank toon. Oh man..

So, still leveling and heading up to level 30 hero.. woo whoo! I am liking the new tank as well; although it seems a bit more clunky than the other toons, but still enjoyable. However, I soon realize a tank must have a duel me sign unforeseenably plastered on its back; much like a kick me sign. Since spitted out at level 3 and holding a sword and shield, I have been hit up for dueling much more than any of my other toons. Sure, I have entertained a few, but soon realize a lowbie tank (I can't use the term "scrub" this time in avoidance to offend some peeps) is not fitting for dueling. Sure, I have 30k something health during my single and teen digits levels, but maneuverability and sustainability are not up to par yet for dueling. However, I can still take out targets and bosses sololy fairly well, even soloing world bosses and dolmens as a lowbie.

Not that there is anything wrong with it, but I have been hit up for a duel from what it seems from everybody and their dogs.. ha ha. I'm beginning to think a lot of folks are viewing a tank as a potential punching bag that is a viable source to test out their build and abilities, other than with a target dummy. So, it may be that some are perceiving a tank as a live target dummy. I know a higher or maxed out CP level tank is very difficult to duel and beat, but not so much when a tank is still a non-CP lowbie. So, I wonder if those so many trying to duel a lowbie tank know how easy it is to beat and getting a payback from the harsh time they may have while dueling a higher CP tank; or is it just because a lowbie tank is easily to beat, in general. I've wiped the floor with much higher level toons with my other lowbie dps while leveling up, but not so much with this still lowbie tank. Instead, I have been getting my arse handed back to me. I've since turn on auto-declined. Ha ha

I play a Nightblade tank and I know how you feel about the "duel me" sign. Most of the people that duel me want to see how quickly they can kill me. They know I'll never deal the damage to kill them. However, they often get frustrated and sometimes give up when the duel gets close to the two minute mark.
