Battle ground group creation and match making

Glad to see the reward system emphasizes playing the objective (hope there is no record of K/D anywhere).

That said, does anyone have a sense for how matchmaking will be done? Skill-based? Connection-based? Also, how does group formation work? Is character type, or mag vs. Stam a piece of the puzzle?

I believe they said on ESO Live that it will match pre-made groups vs pre-made groups where possible but if the check fails a lot it will put them vs a PUG (4x single queue) group so they can actually play.

There will be no match making ranks or such at launch, so very skilled groups will be matching players not of their skill level.

Yeah, so Rift uses a system like this. It's an utter garbage fire because it only works out that premade groups go up against each other maybe 50% time (and that's being optimistic). The other 50% of the time, it's a group of experienced, geared players facerolling a bunch of casuals / newbies.

This game actually has the population to support it, so if they want successful pvp they're gonna have to make brackets of some sort.
