Physical versus digital

We have two people in our house that play the game. Originally purchased one regular physical and one deluxe (or whatever it was call - the one with the statue). Any subsequent content requiring $ has been purchased.
For Morrowind, preordered one physical deluxe edition (it boggles my mind that my son is willing to kick in his hard earned money to cover the extra cost for a statue). Is there any reason I would buy a second physical version of the game? Is there any circumstance where that would make sense relative to just getting the digital?
