As temp healer there is some good news.....

At least now when people die and they blame the healer " Why didn't you heal me ? " i can reply " Why didn't you stand in front me ?"

Or i will just do the move and say in the chat

    I laugh at you folks who think Templar just spam BOL. That is only done in emergency situations. It never has been a rewarding technique as a primary form of healing. Those that think Templar only spam BOL are ignorant to what Templars do.

    I don't think it's that, please show me where I said that I think that?
    I mean if you don't do that and healing requires more than standing there spamming a skill, wouldn't the change have little effect on you as you're skilled enough to aim heals already?

    Yup, that's correct, every good Templar healer uses restro staff anyway. But no other class currently has a chance to even compete with a Templar healer in a raid, even if you are the best Nightblade healer in the game, no way can you take the spot of a mediocre Templar healer. That shouldn't be the case. People let Templars to tank and DPS, why don't let other classes to heal?

    Exactly, it drains magicka so quickly that it's only viable to use it a couple of times without getting dangerously low on rescources

    Rushed ceremony and morphs are the least concern of templars changes, a little annoying one but nothing more. It's fine, in PvP actually a needed one.

    Templars issues in this patch are the changes to repentance(no group utility, will make stamplars go at each other throat for bodies), to spear(badly optimized resources return and a shared cooldown with a guild, universal, ability) and obviously the complete loss of major mending(heavy attacks with resto staff are not a way to get it, not consistently and certainly not when it's needed). Everything that made the class relevant was killed. Our dps has been nerfed patch after patch, and now our only way to contribute in a better way than other classes (resource return for the group) has been killed and our healing heavily nerfed. Sorcs with Matriarch will do a better job.

    OK: for this same reason, however, we should do away with, let's say, steal tornado, sap essence, pulse, inferno, Grothdar set, Infernal Gardian set and all the other abilities/sets with which you can damage something without looking in its direction.

    You want to do damage? Well, get gut, learn some player skills and move and aim your abilities. Just saying.

    I disagree. Not that "Everything that made the class relevant was killed". Everything that makes Templar the only class that is allowed to heal in raids has been changed. Meaning, other classes now have a chance to compete with Templar for a healer spot, just like how Templar DD has a chance to compete with sorc for a DD spot.

    Templar will still be the better class for healing: an AOE Minor Magickasteal, a nice burst heal to the group, a nice AOE HOT with high uptime that can cleanse harmful effect, Backlash which is a skill that boosts the group DPS, Minor Sorcery to the group, Shard will perform better than Orb, their SPC's uptime will be the highest etc. But if a Templar healer is bad, a good Sorc healer has a chance to take his job in a raid.

    it is funny in a thread about a nerf to BoL you bring up the class that got a better version of BoL and wasn't nerfed to be directional. Go figure.

    This, healing for me is combat prayer and keeping mutagen up.
    BoL is for emergency also in the setting where I don't know where dps are typically taking aoe damage while trying to avoid aoe or killing adds.
    Else its about debuff and damage.
    Wall of elemental will go, it require me to stand too close to boss.

    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    My use of suck was more aimed in the way of meaning if you think playing a Warden will be a work around for being a requirement to aim skills then you'll face the same issues and suck unless you develop those skills.

    Not really meant in a "you're a bad player" aimed at anyone. I do kind of like player skill focus over mechanic and game handling focus (in some forms).

    True, never played an MMO where I had to turn to heal. Not even WOW in Raids you shouldn't have to 360 no scope a heal to another player because he's ranged.
