Eso has been evolving since day one one. We have weathered all of their nerfs and buffs and still love this game. We all love this game and that is why so many people are in a panic and depressed. The outrage shows your love for this game.

Give it some time and ZOS will make their money on their new class and then make all classes "balanced". (I am not sure what ZOS defines as "balance".)

I am trying to trust ZOS knows what they are doing. After all, they have us all addicted to their game and they keep changing the rules mid game but we are addicts in love with this product.

Hang in there friends, this storm will pass.

Peace,

Floki

I like watching Daredevils , even forum ones . You are one brave stuntman op .

The positive note to all this is it's mostly panic and hype . We are nowhere near to the final changes that may reach live . So this too will pass . The question is will it pass like a season or pass like gas ? Stay tuned . Enjoy the circus and stock up on butter and popcorn . Drink lots of water to keep salt levels minimal . Keep your caps lock key shiney for last week test results , then unleash the fury if you must .

Protip: Avoid forums during all major testing .

    very enlightened view floki :)

not sure why - but, most folks find change fairly frightening...and, generally expect the worse...

I can't tell ya how many times I've played a character and suddenly realized that things are not working like they once did...do a little research online and find out some ability/passive or gear has in fact changed...

back to the drawing board again and again, time to go farm, buy, (or in rare cases) craft new gear...

as much as I like PvP, I may actually enjoy working on my builds even more...

maybe it's not so bad playing a game where the rules are constantly changing - it's a little frustrating (particularly if you're not tuned in to all the details - which, I imagine a large percentage of the games population is not)...but, eso (and, from what I've read - other mmo's also) change seems to be a part of the rules...

Positive note. It will be easy to leave a game that one has invested thousands of hours and tons of money on.

Red dead 2 cant come soon enough.

on a positive note, there will be new furnitures and i can hide in my house to play decorating and wait until they revert the stupid nerfs.

but oh crap i already hit the item count limit in my house even with eso+ sub bonus. are they going to do anything about that?

I've played characters the same way long after doing so would be consider effective. I just keep on doing what I'm doing and getting the same result I did before the changes happened. Change is one of the reasons I refuse to follow the meta. The meta changes and isn't always adaptable. Playing as I want and getting good results allows me flexibility.

On a positive note, there are better games to play... @OP your view of this situation is absolutely fine if you're someone who isn't heavily invested in the end game content. Of course you don't care if you're playing the quests with sword & board, hope to complete all Vet dungeons one day and that's it. The end game players and guilds I know are not happy with it and we're the ones who almost without an exception pay every month for ESO+ and have to witness the growing imbalance of the game. Not only that but by the looks of it we're being forced into playing the holy grail class to stay competitive by sabotaging the existing classes. Of course you don't care - you do your questing like every day and mother ZOS will eventually fix all the colorful thingies on my skill bar. Most if not all "it's not so bad; just adapt; change is good" posts don't even talk about he actual problem. Change isn't the problem, we want stark changes but in a completely different direction.

Don't take this personal Floki. But you're either a very casual player or do PVP most of the time, in which case you're naturally way less restricted in what you want and can play. There's less of a competitive note to it since PVE players have their leaderboard runs, time trials and team set ups which are already very restricted and homogenized, which will only get worse with the next patch. If we don't freak out now they won't change a thing and this is my biggest fear. In that case I won't wait half a year for an eventual fix. I love this game to death but even I can only take so much BS - I'd be forced to leave this game behind. I'm not a monkey who has to do what my master ZOS is ordering.

Edit: does anyone know how to delete drafts other than by replacing the text with a '.'? I accidentally hit the post button instead of the save draft button, it's an easy mistake to make. I had a reply for this thread but it was snarky and I decided not to post it.
