vHRC Leaderboard score?

I have a question about vet Trial scores. My guild recently started runnign vet trials and we first run vHRC in 1h 10 minutes, with a score of 64k. No vitality bonus.
We then run ut again, 47 minutes, no vitality bonus as well, and got a final score of 62k.
I am quite baffled as to why cutting the time resulted in a lower score. The only difference between the runs was on the first run we wiped twice on the right side boss.
PS: Any tips on killing the trash on the stairs before the last boss? The tank takes the gargoyles but our heal/DPS still have trouble with the rest of the ads.
