Anniversary Festival: Once More, With Feeling

Hiya ZOS Team,

Just wanted to thank you again for the great anniversary festival.

It really was lovely to be able to be rewarded for the things that we already do and, with the Anniversary Box rewards, to stock up on crafting supplies and learn TONS of new motifs. (I'm pretty sure the game must've sensed how much I wanted to learn the Ancient Orc style, because I was fortunate enough to receive a bunch of those pages.)

Anyhoo, THANK YOU!

It was enjoyable and I appreciated it.

Oh! And I loved the Cake Animation. Made me smile every time.

I will miss it that's for sure.

I really got a kick out of summoning the cake and using it as fast as possible so my character would be clapping with a plate of cake in one hand. SMASH SMASH SMASH THE CAKE!

Same here. It was a great event. Not only rewarding. You could do it as you liked and for this "play your own way" thing I always liked Elder Scrolls.

I was actually quite depressed that the anniversary boxes were gone yesterday when I went to turn in some daily quests. I enjoyed them so much! Great event, and got me doing writs on all my characters! Really miss the anniversary rewards tho.
Those were a lot of fun

I gave up collecting pages after IC came out bc it was just to much farming. This event helped me fill out every page I was missing I got so many free pages plus trades with guild members. Now I can say I'm a true master crafter XD

I know, right?

I learned a ton of new motifs (besides my coveted Ancient Orc one), but also had plenty to share/sell.

Did a lot of daily quests, was in an 20 man group on the Gold coast to kill the minotaur boss.
Everybody popped cakes as in trying to summon the boss with cake.

And yes it was an great event, filled out lots of motifs and still has an million gold left over, probably some more as I sell of the stored stuff.

More fun stuff, bank alts and horse feeders is now +10 in all crafting skills. I ran out of racial style stones, must have had 2000 then this started

Not wanting to be a total downer but have you ever actually tried farming and buying Ancient Orc motif!? I spent months at it. Then it turned out that all that time and gold would have been better spent doing... well, anything!! Jokes on myself and all the other dedicated crafters I guess. Hardy harr harr!!!
Good one ZOS, perhaps you would be so kind as to fix the drop rates now, so that the only way to complete motif collections isn't solely by waiting for a two week stint every year or spending all your time and gold in game browsing guild traders!?? Thanks!!

Yeah was great getting motifs I was missing for my crafter, would love to see something similar with whatever festival is next, the xp buffs are good but the boxes were better IMO.

I'll miss getting gold, mats and motifs for doing nothing more than running from the writ board to the caravan in Belkarth lol.

The thing I liked about it was that there wasn't anything I couldn't get after the event, which made it so I didn't feel like I should grind dailies all day. Those limited time drops make me feel like I should get them while I can.

It was great. I do worry about all these double XP events, people go grind crazy - personally I think the slow game is healthy for longevity.

However the goodie drops were cool. it has flooded the Motif market so feel a bit for the guys that used that as a business, althougth I did think that as people have now started most of the motifs, there might still be a good business in selling the bits that complete the sets etc.

I do prefer events that drive population into interaction - so for me the IC event and the PvP 'test' Double AP event were the best recently.
