Updating the Deconstruction UI to Help Crafters

I play on Xbox NA and I wanted to write about something that frustrates me as a crafter in this game. The UI for deconstructing items needs more filters and better organization. I would like to see two separate tabs for Light and Medium Armor, instead of everything bunched into one. When I go into the deconstructing section at any crafting station, the items should be listed by item type... or even better, have a separate tab for each item type. For example, when I go to the Blacksmith station and look at weapons, all of my swords should be grouped, then daggers, then axes, and so on. When I go to the Clothing station, I should be able to look at just my Light Armor pieces that are available for deconstruction and they should be listed by type.

I ask for these kind of changes because on console we can't have add-ons like on PC. I use an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of what traits I have researched and what items I am holding onto for later research. I am constantly checking back and forth from the game to my spreadsheet to see which items I can deconstruct or need to hold onto. But when I have to look through 50 pieces of Light and Medium armor that aren't grouped by type, it becomes a headache trying to compare my notes.

Any suggestions or comments are greatly welcome. And I hope that other crafters would like to see these changes as well. Thanks.

I use an app that tracks the traits for me. Can mark as researchable, as in you have it banked, and when you mark that it's researching it automatically sets the timer based on the skill points you input. It will also give a notification when one finishes.

However, I do agree it should make more sense

    Two Suggestions:

    a) Any item that I'm saving for research purposes, I use the menu function to Lock that item. (For PS4, it's the Triangle button so, for XB1, I'd guess that it's the 'Y' button.) That way, when you're at a crafting station, those items do NOT appear as an option in the Deconstruction menu. Then, when I am ready to research a particular trait, I just unlock that item and go to the Research tab first to get it started; and then I do any deconstructing that I need to.

    b) I used to use a spreadsheet too in order to keep track of my traits. It was a pain in the butt. If you're on Android (and, for all I know, also on iOS), there's an app called "ESO Toolkit". It not only helps you keep track of your item traits, it also: Lets you mark items as 'Researchable' (so you know what you have and what you still need to obtain); gives you a countdown timer for each item being researched (you tell it how many skill points you've put in, so it can be accurate); and notifies you when an item has finished researching. [It also has other very helpful tools, but that's my main use for it and it's been super helpful.]

    Good luck to you!
