Imperial Edition

Sckazy
Sckazy
Hey guys,

I'm trying to get the Imperial edition to do a race change for my Nightblade and before getting it, I was hoping you can guide me as I found 3 methods to Get it:
1- DIGITAL IMPERIAL EDITION UPGRADE - 2100 Crowns
2- Imperial DLC - 2500 Crowns

I don't understand the difference between them and they only offer the Imperial Edition in the upgrade while the other DLC are listed in a unique section Called "DLC".

And the third one is the one I found in the store, but it's for PC costing £ 6.66 which is aprox 1500 Crows.

Lastly once I purchased the edition, will the Imperial edition be available for me as in the Race change Tokken? Already performed 1 Race change thinking that I could change the Alliance (From Dark Elf to Wood Elf) and basicaly wasted 3000 crowns ;(

Thanks a lot!!

I'm currently an ESO Plus member but I require the Imperial race.

If I buy the Imperial Upgrade and my ESO + expires, won't I be able to enter Imperial City inside Cyrodill and do the Imperial Dungeons?

No. The Imperial Upgrade doesn't have anything to do with the Imperial City. The Imperial Upgrade only grants access to the Imperial race, the white horse, and the mudcrab pet.

I see! I'm glad I asked before buying it. Thanks !

I can only assume that when Morrowind comes out, I won't be able to create a Warden with my ESO plus until I get the DLC or they will do the same with the Imperial Edition and implement a Morrowind Upgrade allowing you to get the new class without actually having Morrowind content.

None of those will allow you to change your character into an Imperial.

The Imperial City is a DLC pack which lets you into the city in the center of Cyrodiil and the two dungeons located there. It does not include any races.

The Imperial Edition upgrade unlocks the Imperial race on your account (so you can make new characters who are Imperials), but does NOT allow you to change existing characters to the Imperial race. You would have to buy the upgrade and a separate race change token to be able to convert an existing character into an Imperial.

(You might want to consider getting the Adventurer Pack instead - that doesn't include the Imperial race but it does include the Any Race in Any Alliance upgrade which would let you change your dark elf into a wood elf. You would still need to buy a race change token to do it - there is no way around that - but it means when you use one, or when you make a new character in future, you can choose from all the races.)

Say Whaaaaaaaaaa!! Why didn't I knew this before! The only reason I want to get Imperial is it's only viable Stam race that is available for all Alliance.

Are you saying that if I buy the Adventurer Pack and a Race change tokken, I can be a Wood elf but still in EP ?

Edit: It is true! the name of this feature was confusing so didn't check it before. Thanks a lot!

If you want an Imperial, you will need to purchase the Imperial Edition upgrade. An Imperial can be in any alliance, though.

So, if you would still like to create an Imperial Warden, you'll need to purchase the Imperial Edition upgrade. However, I believe that the Warden Class is part of the base game, so you wouldn't need to purchase Morrowind in order to create an Imperial Warden.

Note that Morrowind is not a DLC, so it is not free for active ESO+ members to access. Everyone who wants to play Morrowind will have to purchase it outright.

No. You need to buy Morrowind in order to make a Warden.

Number 1 your only option to become Imperial Race. Number 2 is a DLC doesn't come with Imperial Race.

Morrowind will be like the Imperial Pvp content release, you will need to buy it to get the Warden race or buy the class only via Crows Store. Either ways we'll need to pay for it, ESO Plus or not :/

    @Sckazy

If you purchase the Imperial edition upgrade you will be able to change your race if you buy a race change token. The Imperial Edition upgrade unlocks the race and the token will allow you to change your race to imperial.

If you buy Any race Any Alliance you can be any race in any alliance lol. So yes you can change your race to a wood elf or a khajit and still be ebonheart pact.

And as for the warden class you have to buy Morrowind in order to be a warden. It's not part of the base game. Maybe in the future they will have an option where you can unlock warden with crowns but as of right now you have to buy Morrowind. Why wouldn't you want to buy Morrowind?

ZO have given no indication that you'll be able to buy the warden separately directly from the crown store and have said that 'chapters' will not be sold in the crown store. They're direct sale only and that's probably to avoid people buying them with discounted crowns.

    http://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-gb/news/post/2017/01/31/the-elder-scrolls-online-morrowind-pre-order-faq

So I strongly doubt that they would ever add warden to the crown store.

What they may add to the crown store later are the pre-order and CE bonuses, eg. grey warden bear, warden costume, morag tong style converter, dwemer mount and pet.
