What can I use to make stairs and a loft that is cheap and where do I find it?

I used stuff from home goods vendors, stones, planks and such, cheaper then crafting

I used shelves, look a lot like steps... very expensive to craft them all.

Have a bit of trouble. I seem to have no problem buying planks off a white haired lady near Fort Amol, Eastmarch who is sweeping a cabin porch. But my low level friend who just started is not seeing her inventory. She is an achievement furnisher. I do not know what achievement was accomplished by me that made me able to see her inventory. It's a pain in the azz to be mailing my friend planks. http://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Structures_Furnishings Also, I thought achievement vendors only sold bound items yet I can mail planks from her store to my friend. Not that I want to loose that ability and I hate bound items it is just -

CAN ALL THE ACHIEVEMENT VENDORS IN THE GAME PLEASE HAVE A TAB YOU CAN OPEN WITH A DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF WHAT QUEST IS NEEDED TO ACCOMPLISH THEIR ACHIEVEMENT GOAL ? PLZ.

BECAUSE I WOULD LIKE AN MMO THAT DOES NOT FORCE ME TO LOOK EVERYTHING UP ONLINE. PLZ.

For stairs use rough platform stage.* http://eso.mmo-fashion.com/rough-platform-stage/ A craftable but you can be level 1 woodworking and it's recipe is sold by the woodworker npc standing next to the woodworking table (i'm stationed in Davon's Watch, Ebonheart Pact).

$cost: 3heartwood & 2nickle
technically that makes crafting them expensive (the heartwood) but i happen to be a gatherer so i had the heartwood and nickle is cheep

Those are selves, they are placed where they actually work as stairs (just walk right up them) looks ok right?

Though, crafting all of them took a ton of heartwood

@Waffennacht those shelves look a whole lot better than my planks (way oversized) or my rough platform stage (also large). Shelves are just lovely. I cannot tell what kind of shelf is used in your pic but it still opens up worlds of possibility I can't wait to investigate. There seems to be a lot of different looking platformish shelves. Very excited about this.
