Horrible. Free to play would essentially mean the game would have be a cash grab and or P2W in some aspect to get the money to maintain servers. Also allows audiences from all over to play which ruins the audience we have now and the community by allowing trolls and little kids on the servers more than we have now. When it was P2P it was a great community, we thought the B2P was horrid, but it turned out semi okay. If they really want to play the game its amazingly cheap and only $60 for everything all DLC and the game? Why make it F2P.

I think "try before you buy" is a good idea in the gaming world.

It's a Free to Play WEEK, not the game going F2P permanently. They do this once or twice a year to entice possible new players to try the game at no monetary cost to them. After the one week, if the person likes it, they're more likely to buy it. But that's all this is.

Don't overreact or jump to unfounded, baseless conclusions based on a dearth of research anything...

This 1000%.

F2P/B2P are the death cycle of MMO's. It brings in the worst possible community, adds the worst possible micro cash grab garbage, and historically signifies the sacrifice of a title on the altar of short-term greed.

It remains to be seen if B2P can "walk the line" for longer than a couple years, but in my experience simply paying a sub and knowing exactly what you are getting is SO much better than all the nickel and dime BS.

But the cell phone generation wants free, quality be damned!
